3d printing is scale invariant

Insofar as it’s common to think about 3D printing, people seem to mostly be thinking at either the micro-scale/nanotech or human-scale (fabrication).  You can buy 3D printers off the shelf or as kits (Makerbot) with most of these having a cell size of 1 cubic foot or smaller.

 

There is nothing to prevent you from making a 3D printer large enough to print a house.
